ages since we had a ‘chat’ together like at last weeks outing at Al Shafieks in
Stoke. …… starters galore. After a dozen pints at Wetherspoons, papodums and
the chats it’s a wonder we ate the main courses! but try we did….. and failed.
(perhaps it was the dozen nans?)
General opinion, however, appears that
except for the papodums (and the chats), the standard has dropped since the new
management took over several months ago.
Never mind, we’ll keep looking for perfection!
Newcommer, Steve M, confused the waiter,
and everyone else, by asking for a hot curry, ‘Asian style’. A side dish of chopped chillies appeared
which was flashed under Spikes nose, who slithered from his seat to attack a
ceiling fan. He just isn’t up to it any more!
Dave C had a glazed expression on his face
all night and is rumoured to be offering to buy a round …………………. well, if
anyone finds his specs that is. John C
admitted he can’t drink a pint after a curry, whats new?
Meet at Wetherspoons around 6.30ish.
