Naaah, just a whisper.

Call it that ‘can’t be arsed’ attitude to some extent, or that web pages take a while to put together and no time  ……etc.  The main concern however is that putting the balti bugle out ‘live’ may attract too many members?? and Dave G may have his own column when technical problems are overcome, ooer

Luckily there was a detour back to Newcastle to allow time for practising the choruses.  Some may remember the fat lady.

And how many times is Bye Bye mentioned in 'American Pie'? Joe attempted several renditions as he fell out of the bus attempting to find out.

Spike found solitude in his car the next day as he tried to remember how many pints of Worthington 1744 he'd consumed at the mystery? pub.

The hop-goblin (Nige) hasn’t been seen since and maybe prefers a 'silent night' in.

So onto this year.

3 events, (of which only 2 may include a curry), to which I need your swift responses are:

Prepare yourselves for another fun-packed year?

The christmas special at London House in Eccleshall seems a lifetime ago.  It turned out to be the biggest and best ever attended squarry night to date with around 25 of us turning up.  We even got a mention in the office newsletter scribed by undercover man   Chris M

Some remember going to Eccleshall but not coming back, so it must have been a gudun.  Slater’s ales excelled at the George and prompts a return in the future.  Some may remember the fat lady.  Some remember everyone's meals being delayed because of a chat?  Remember Glen Miller (Phil) orchestrating George Formby (Col).  It’s amazing what a concoction of red wine and antibiotics can do to your rhythm stick

Manchester on Wed 29th January.  Details to be arranged but will entail leaving at lunch time to allow for travelling and avoiding the rush we had last time.  DC to arrange but we need a show of hands first to see if it’s viable (Return bus etc).

Similarly with the German Beer Festival at the end of September.  This would involve flight/coach travel to the Bavarian region for a 2/3 day break involving a couple of strolls/sightseeing trips and consumption of a stein or two.

Ladies night at the Uttoxeter Racecourse is on Thursday June 5th this year.  Options include access similar to last year, or the Silver Service option which starts at £75 plus VAT, including a meal etc.
